November 10, 2009 Habitat Brampton Purchases Land for 2011 Project  

 BRAMPTON.: Habitat for Humanity Brampton has purchased a residential property located at 59 McLaughlin Road, and is poised to begin the site plan process for a multiple residence build. The purchase of the ¾ acre property, which has been vacant for several years, became official as of October 29th. Habitat Brampton hopes to commence building in the spring of 2011. “Everything is still in the planning stage,” says Habitat Brampton’s executive director, Thomas Fischer, “but we’re eager to start this build, and we look forward to another great project with members of the community.

Habitat for Humanity’s vision is a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live, and its mission is to mobilize volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing and promoting homeowner ship as a means to breaking the cycle of poverty.
