Opened in the Spring of 2005, peel Region's first ReStore is located on the NORTH EAST corner of Rutherford and Glidden. ReStores sell quality used and surplus building and home improvement materials at a fraction of retail prices. Proceeds from ReStores fund the construction of Habitat homes in the community.

All materials sold by Habitat ReStores are donated for that purpose  often from contractors with excess supplies from demotion crews salvaging reusable materials,or from the general public. In addition to raising funds,ReStores help the enviroment by diverting usable materials away from landfulls.

Waste Reduction in Action Habitat Restore is an innovative response to the current landfill crises. The concept is to Reduce,Reuse and Recycle materials that would otherwise have to be landfilled.

Serving as a "thrift-shop" for reusable building materials. it offers a safe clean place to which good building materials ca be donated. Builders,contractors and renovators send the salvalgeable portion of their wast to the Habitat Restore and avoid dumping charges.

Stores and manufacturers can donate end-of-line,scratch and dent,old stock,customer returns, and avoid the cost of returning them to the manfacturer.

Builders,contractors and stores, along with the general public can shop at the Habitat ReStore for quality used materials at 50%-70% off the retail cost.
